This monday, June 1, Conexxion FM in London will dedicate a full hour to Suzanna Lubrano and her new album, including a live interview starting at 7 PM local time. Check Conexxion FM for a live stream.
Suzanna’s counterpart in the above video of Festa Mascarado, dancer Timor Steffens, has just been selected as one of the twelve people to dance live on stage with Michael Jackson during his upcoming ‘This is It’ Tour, starting in London in July 2009.
Yesterday, the Cabopop Foundation was officially launched in the Netherlands.
The Cabopop Foundation intends to promote the rich and diverse Cape Verdean pop culture in the Netherlands for a wider, more mainstream audience within and outside the Netherlands, assist Cape Verdean musicians in developing their talent and by doing so creating a higher self esteem among the Cape Verdean community in the Netherlands.
The establishment of the Cabopop Foundation is initiated by Gil Semedo, Beto Dias, Grace Evora, Dina Medina and Johnny Ramos and has Suzanna Lubrano’s wholehearted support.

Last night Suzanna Lubrano performed during a farewell party for Ruud Lubbers as chairman of the IAB (International Advisory Board) of the City of Rotterdam. Ruud Lubbers is a former Dutch prime minister (for 12 years) as well as the former High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
