Last friday, Suzanna Lubrano had a great event with Yuri da Cunha in “indigO2″, London. This summer, lots of new shows are coming up. Among the live events in July are:
- July 10, Marseille, France
- July 16/23, several shows in São Tomé and Príncipe
- July 31, Luanda, Angola
Other events this summer will take place in Cabo Verde, Portugal, USA, Mozambique. Keep on checking the home page of this website for updates.
The upcoming week, Suzanna Lubrano has three live events:
- June 23: Brava, Cabo Verde – Brava Festival
- June 25: London, UK – Indigo2 (see pic) with Yuri da Cunha, Bonga and Boss AC
- June 27: Rotterdam – São João Festival
This month, Suzanna Lubrano will perform in London on June 25 at the IndigO2 with Yuri da Cunha, Brava Music Festival, Cape Verde, on June 23 and Holland Casino, Rotterdam on June 18. There will be many other shows this summer.
Suzanna Lubrano has won the award for “Best African Artist based in the Diaspora” at the Museke Online Africa Music Awards (MOAMAs) 2010. The winners were selected based on African music fan votes. Voting took place from April 6 to May 29, 2010 on http://awards.museke.com.
The nominees were selected over a 3 month period by an academy made up of African music enthusiasts and fans. The organizing team encourages music fans to learn about all the other nominees, since they are amongst the top African musicians of today.
Netherlands based Suzanna Lubrano is the only Cape Verdean artist among the winners. All other winners are from the larger, more populous, African countries: Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana. Tanzania, Mozambique, Angola, Egypt and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Lizha James, Dama do Bling, Amr Diab, Ralph Anselmo and Perola emerged multiple winners.
The MOAMAs sought to award best of African music over the last year and put the winners in the spotlight as Africa prepares to host the globe at the World Cup in South Africa.
Previously, Suzanna Lubrano has won other major music awards, including the 2003 Kora All African Music Award for Best African Female Artist.
Only last week, Suzanna Lubrano has released her long awaited DVD “Live at Off-Corso” with live performance of many of her hit songs in the Lusophone market. Suzanna Lubrano’s musical career started in 1996 with the release of her successful debut album, “Sem Bo Nes Mund”.
